FAQ'S

CAN I SUPPLY MY OWN GARMENTS TO BE PRINTED?

Yes, you can supply your own garments.  We will however reserve the right to not print a garment if it’s made from unsuitable fabric or it’s an unsuitable style.

Please note that while every care is taken to supply a full print job with no 'seconds' it is advisable to supply a few more t-shirts in case of any errors.

DO YOU ARRANGE INTERSTATE COURIERS?

Yes, we can ship anywhere in Australia at cost of client.

HOW DO I SUPPLY ARTWORK?

Please see our guidelines in the ‘Resources’ section that covers artwork specifically.

WHAT IS THE SET UP CHARGE FOR?

The set up charge is to colour separate your image, to run film for each colour and then to create a stencil onto a screen for each colour.  Please note the physical screen remains the property of New Model Beauty Queen.

DO YOU OFFER A SAMPLING SERVICE FOR MANUFACTURING/PRINTING?

Yes, we do, from sales sample to production sample. If you want to see a test print prior to the run starting, we can either arrange a digital image to be emailed or messaged to you, or you can come to the factory to view a sample.

HOW CAN I ACHIEVE A SOFT-FEEL PRINT?

Soft feel printing is the most requested method of printing in recent times. We have perfected this form using specialty inks such as discharge and also solvent free water based inks.  Soft feel is achievable on both dark and light coloured t-shirts and because of its technical requirements is charged at a higher price.

WHAT ARE YOUR MINIMUM PRINT RUNS?

Our minimum print runs are based on the number of colours within your design. A one colour design has a minimum of 20 units, a two colour design has a minimum of 30, a three colour has 40 and so on.

Minimum runs assist in allowing us to cover set up times but also assist you in covering your set up costs.

CAN I PRINT ANYWHERE ON A GARMENT?

You can print on most areas of a garment however some placements don’t allow us to create a smooth surface area to print.

DO YOU OFFER DIGITAL PRINTING?

At this stage we do not offer digital printing.  Our research has concluded that the available equipment on the market today does not meet our standards in imprint consistency or our production demands.  It does not provide costs effectiveness to our customers.

CAN YOU SUPPLY AUSTRALIAN MADE T SHIRTS?

We make everything here in Brunswick.

CHECKLIST

  • Budget: know your limitations and be realistic. Knowing your target market will allow you to understand your pricing structure. This will define the production process.

  • Know your range: by having a clear view of your range in mind, it will make the production process easier for you. Have your samples or trade sketches ready for the first consultation.

  • Range development: an extremely variable process, costs can fall between $3000 to $10000. Investigate all aspects of production; what do you require for the complete production of your garments? I.e. pattern making, printing, complex cutting etc. and factor these into your budget and schedule

  • Production efficiency: be thorough by ensuring you have supplied all the correct quantities of fabrics and accessories your garment requires i.e. buttons, zips and care labels. Mark all “wrong sides” of garment panels with tape and size breakdown if you are cutting your own fabric.
