New Designer Checklist 

  • NMBQ is staffed by extremely experiences textiles professionals; your first preparation discussion will be complimentary and usually goes for no longer than an hour. This gives our production team a chance to solidify the partnership between you, the designer and the production team.
  • NMBQ’s production team has vast experience and knowledge, which is essential to the success of your project, however our time is also essential to the success of their business. Therefore, after the first complimentary consultation, if yourequire further assistance this can be arranged . Appointments may be scheduled within our dedicated ‘designer days, Thursday 10am - 8 pm or by appointment only, the rest of our time we lovingly put into your production needs.
  • Know your target market. Yes this may seem obvious but ensure you know your target market well for optimum brands success.
  • Discuss and be realistic about your budget. NMBQ can work with your budget. Knowing how much you can afford will define your product, knowing how much your can afford will define your production process. 
  • Range development cost is extremely variable depending on the product, average sampling through to productions costs usually fall between $3,000 - $10,000. We always try to fit with in your budget, however we do stress that each steps of the production has a defined cost.
  • Imagery of your idea is important for us to understand what you have in mind. Do your ‘Trade sketches’ in advance these are flat images which define your garment, front, back darts, zip etc...
  • Investigate all aspects of production, what do you require for the complete production of your garment? i.e. pattern making, printing, complex cutting etc and factor these into your budget and schedule.
  • Be thorough ensuring you have supplied all the accessories your garment requires i.e. buttons, zips and care labels. 
  • To enable production efficiently please mark all ‘wrong sides’ garment panels with tape and size breakdown if you are cutting your own garments.  

*NMBQ reserves the right to withhold garments and production if payment is not received in full.
*NMBQ requires 50% deposit before work will be commenced & remaining on completion of order.
*NMBQ is not held responsible for garments once they leave our manufacturing facility; a strict quality control process is always adhered to, however the onus is on the client to take responsibility for the product once it has left NMBQ.
